What I mean by this, is the angle in which the Land Cruiser can take before flipping over on its side when traversing hills or rocks. :D

I'd like to know too. It seems like I've come very close and teeter tottered...but it can probably take more than I think. Keep in mind any spec you find is on the factory suspension and added weight and lifts wil hurt this figure. Offset tires could actaully help this figure and may counteract the effects of the lift.

Can you test it and send some pics.:steer:  There has to be information somewhere out there. Just can't seem to find it. Oh yea, bring a fireman's air bag for suicide jumpers to protect your vehicle when it rolls over.:hillbilly:

Just don't forget to turn the sidebags off, or

I would be pissing myself at 30', not to mention 44'. WOW that would be insane. How does that compare to the H2,Range Rover and LR3 I wonder?:hmm:

Is 25ins. allot for forging through water on stock height or 2ft. to climb over a rock and keep all three tires planted? What about a 45' degree climb? Does anyone have the info. so we can compare these new findings to our competition?:hmm:

What's the 640mm for???

Oh, and would the side airbags really go off even with just the tilt? Would the vehicle not have to ACTUALLY tip? I've never turned mine off but have been about 20% sidways. Should I have turned them off???

The 640mm or 26ins measurement is how big of a deer you can drive over after hitting it on a country road. duh:hillbilly: That is why having a ARB bull bar is so important. When I move back to the west foothills of Denver or travel through the Rockies, people hit huge deer. They also have Caribou there and you don't want to hit one of those without serious protection. :bang:

LOL. But seriously though, I don't get what it is. 640mm is 25". There is no way with the stock bumper you can approach something 25" tall. So what does this mean, honestly?

I am guessing here, but it may be the articulation of which one tire can be off the ground while the others are still touching. Does this make sense to anyone?

Yup. That makes sense. In offroading terms, it's call the RTI score. I believe the LC200 got a 540 RTI score....not sure if that number is correct though.

RTI Ramp - Ramp Travel Index Score - What is it, what does it tell you?

Range Rover and LR3 are 45 degrees, at standard height, but what's in 1 deg? :)

With a lift, roof rack etc, I wouldn't try to verify that.......

I guess that doesn't surprise me. They were built to off road. I just wish they were reliable but thats another thread. What does the crawl ratio mean for Land Cruiser? It doesn't look good for the Cruiser. The stop distance is just about right. I had to slam on my breaks to avoid very potential crash from 60-0. I think I stopped sooner than 139.1ft. The seat belt works really well and very cool how it makes that tightening sound and than gently releases. :steer:

Yeah, that's a great feature...when you need it. But when you don't (ahem -- like a steep hill), it sucks!

JB FWIW the manual says to turn off the curtain airbabs ( RSTC??) switch when off road. It will still deploy in a roll over situation. Well that's what the manual says anyway.

I turn off the curtain airbags whenever off road. You have to hold the button for 3 seconds.

I foind this pic on the Toyota middle east website. Every country's web site seems to glean a little bit of different info.

In reality off road on any trail you wont go past 40 degrees, because you will be bouncing on rocks, mounds, ect...only in a controled course or ramp could you safely do 44, rovers have almost equal numbers, however their stock departure angle is better, but if you put an aftermarket rear bumber on the 200 then its back to equal ground, and it comes down to reliability and safety for me and the Cruiser wins that hands down.
