What is the height of the back cab panel on a 45 removable top? Here's where I'm going with this... I have a 64 short bed, fixed top that I am thinking of making into a removable top. If I'd cut the rear of the cab at the correct height, it could look original, and I'd be able to use a different rear panel if necessary. The one that is on the truck now has no cab corner windows.

So, my question is, what is the distance from the seam near the door latches to the bottom of the drip edge? I'm guessing something like 25".

Thanks, Luke

Ahh! Don't do it!

I knew there would be some resistance from the 45 faithful... :) I'm not totally conviced that I want to do it- I'm just thinking it would be nice in summer and on trails to not have the roof in my way. Maybe I'll just cut a massive hole in the roof panel and get a sunroof from JC Whitney.... just kidding.

Anybody want to trade a fixed roof cab for a removable top cab in similar condition?

Luke

Pretty solid, except for underneath the doors.... but what 64 have you seen that is solid there? I can post pictures if you want.

beds are different, so you might have to do some mods for it to fit.

Also, as I am sure you know, the curves are different radii, so a removable top might not fit on the cab after you chop it.

I just went into my basement & measured it on my 66 LWB removeable top & your right it's 25 inches.
