Replaced oil pan and valve cover gaskets, tomorrow I start replacing all the door seals and I finally came to the conclusion that the rats nest of wires the PO left me with has to go. Ordered new wiring harness kit. I have never seen so many crush connectors and clamp splices in my life...

in the process of building rear tube fenders. looking better than i thought

Put in an aux fuse panel, a cd player, and amp. Hooked up my 12 volt guy in cab winch control. Re-tapped the rusty holes on the top of the windshield getting ready to put on a bikini top and channel.

Got any pics?
Id like to steal....er um...see that idea.

I took her on a camping trip in the middle of the week because I'm retired and I can do it!

Man, that shot looks great, have fun!

I wish I was retired.:frown:

Left the '74 -Forty parked in the garage and left the 110F heat for a trip to AK. Flew to Anchorage, rented this and drove around some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen for a week.
2 days of light rain 5 days of sun, and never above 70F - Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once and a while

Went crazy

Ripped out all the bad wiring done and had a pile that went in the garbage. Installed three "like" toggle switches instead of three different types.

Tore out the ignition switch to address the switches attempt to start in the accessory position and promptly broke the plastic trying to take it apart. Another switch on the way for replacement from CCOT.

Bought a new set of speakers to mount somewhere??? Looking in the threads here for ideas and of course found some, thank you all!!

Finally got the front window to lay down on the hood, hinges were tight and wires were stingy in stretching, looked cool!!

Other than that not much went on. Oh yea, found out the points were broken and that's why it would not start after two weeks of searching for that problem and of course buying some parts like a coil that weren't bad ;\

Can't wait until next week!!

Cheers

On my 40 I replaced my trashed & old school white fiberglass fender flares w/new set of Bushwhackers.

Had duct taped the old ones for over 2yrs. & they finally ripped off last wheeling trip.
