I have always wondered that. I work in the boat building industry, sika and plexus basically rips the composite apart. Wonder if anyone has tried?

I finally got around to putting all new windows felts in. I've had the parts for close to a year. It's a fiddly bit of work, but like most things, the first door takes some doing, undoing, re-doing and the second one takes 20% of that time. So satisfying to be able to close the doors and not think you are going to shatter the glass.
Patching a couple little rust holes. The red donor floor is taking care of the passenger side, and I’m fabricating the driver’s floor out of 1/16” stainless steel.
Ohhh Porsche 914s That was what I wanted when I was in HS. I hardly ever see them any more.

Did you go OEM Toyota on those? I tried aftermarket and they did not seal right. So, now I have OEM ones to try. The toyota part numbers on door parts is nuts. I have so many extra parts that I basically bought trying to figure it out.

The weather strip or scrapers at the bottom of the window opening were Toyota parts. The upper channel run was purchased from City Racer as described below. Lower channel bought from him as well. Those all worked great.
Set of front door glass run. Same part fits both LH and RH sides. This is the updated version without the chrome trim. Fits '75 to '84 FJ40 and FJ45 without vent windows.
Same quality as OEM part # 68105-90302. Price is for a set of 2.
I can confirm this all worked great. Took a long drive yesterday including some off road. Windows were nice and secure.
Is that a turtle box speaker at the top frame of your window? If so .... How do you like it? And is I loud enough as you're cruising at a higher speed?
Got my roof completely drilled, rivets in, and sealer on today. Sealer looks like dog 
, so you don’t get to see that. 
fortunately it is sandable so I’ll clean it up before I paint the roof. Nonetheless, it is sealed and isn’t going to leak anytime soon. Roof is also back on the rig and I’ll take it out tomorrow. Might even cruise over to a cars and coffee Sunday morning.

12/75 FJ40. Pulled off the body. Prepping the frame. Bought a ton of parts. Engine (350) ready to install. Cutting and welding to restore the tail lamp mounts. Also removed the steel block "body lift"

Turtlebox is great, one of my best friends from college works there. I’ll let @Buffchief comment to the volume vs road noise but I don’t think you’d be disappointed with it.

How much elbow grease did it take to get the canopy that nice looking?broke down and put the wipers on - not exactly a cake walk with the hard top on... lost count of how many times I dropped the nut trying to squeeze my fingers under there

Added some new hooks...
Restoring everything windshield wipers. And some additional plating today; some purdy throttle linkage.
Finally got some jump seats in my ‘75 fj40. Got some really good condition seat frames from Classic Cruisers in Colorado.
They didn’t need any metal work/rust repair and the paint was good enough for my 40. So got some good foam in and some new covers on.
They turned out great! Also had an old set of 40 series lap belts that I had been holding on to the last 6 years, so was nice to finally put them to use.

Too much? Found it for $10…has CarPlay and tells me how fast I’m going when using Waze. My speedometer is very close to being accurate. This also bluetooths to my JBL Charge 5 for music.
Also ran a fuel return to try to alleviate some warm engine no-start issues.

Changed the oil, washed it, and threw on the hubcaps. Right at 14,000 miles with the LS swap. Doesn’t burn any oil and no leaks.
Added pinstripes, finished the roof, added door seals to the ambulance doors......and drove it!
