Just spotted this FJ40 on Hemmings.com (usual disclaimer, I have no association with the seller) something tells me I've got a long way to go before I've spent too much money on my truck..

I wheeled it today . . .

. . . after noticing that the temperature went up much faster than normal just about 10 miles in on the highway with 60 miles to go and 5000 feet to climb

pulled the switch for the electric pusher fan on the radiator: temp gauge stayed at the second peg the whole time up the hill :bounce: I must admit, I went some 5 or 10 mph slower than normal

who needs a working fan clutch, right ? - we proceeded to wheel the entire day :steer: electric pusher fan to the rescue :hillbilly:

(granted, I had a spare waterpump/clutchfan assembly with me, but nobody really wanted to wrench :meh:)

Got a "new to me" brake booster and MC...INSTALLED. And "new to me" clutch MC....ALSO INSTALLED. Ordered new brake lines in bulk and metric fittings. Hopefully by the end of next week I can take it for a spin around the yard.... LOL Also got some good replacement seats out of a totaled Freightliner. IM THINKING AIR RIDE SEATS. How sweet is that????

You take that truck to Vieques yet? That would be awesome. A viequense living in Chicago would really enjoy those pics.
Saludos..not yet. They have some issues with the transport boats i live in Yauco,so most of the time I'm in the West or the Center of the island I prefer the country than the coast.....Cheers from here...
Thanks to the others members for the compliments, here is a paradise for wheeling, good food and great looking se~oritas...:D
