Does that kit come with longer bumpstops? Those back tires look aweful close to the wheelwells.Terrain Tamer parabolics installed, new rims/tires, replace 2ish turn (wtf steering) saginaw box with 3.5 turn(thanks @knuckle47 ) and Terrain Tamer knuckle rebuild. This strut is going on my list of "Cool Things I saw and now I need."
It’s an optical illusion. Plus- OH use case is a lot different than out west….Does that kit come with longer bumpstops? Those back tires look aweful close to the wheelwells.
This is on my list. Did you find a kit for the rebuild? Finally rebuilt the steering box. Everything else in the steering system is new…I thought it was gonna be a nightmare, but was surprised to pop the box off without having to remove the fender or anything, and the steering arm came off with a quick puller..no drama..almost feels like I cheated..lol. Inside looks as if it was filled with Dijon mustard at some point..great on a burger, but so much in a steering box.. easy replace of the bearings and seals, big clean up and paint and she’s ready to go back in! It’ll be nice to not look like I’m steering a movie car going down the street..lol.View attachment 4051415View attachment 4051416View attachment 4051417

Yes you can. Just disconnect the upper ball joint with a pull or poop the spring with a screwdriver and lean it backOnly downfall seems to be that you can't fully open the hood and rest it on the roof which can be nice for more access
....Pop....the spring...Yes you can. Just disconnect the upper ball joint with a pull or poop the spring with a screwdriver and lean it back
Your close to us. Sent a Dm.with the help of my son and 2 nephews I finally got the hardtop from my donor on! Gimli has a winter coat now. I love the look both ways, but am enjoying seeing him looking almost complete.
Guys had to take a ride in the back to see what that was like. I think I baptized 3 new cruiser heads today.
Also got steering wheel, blinker collar, reconditioned heater box, map light and white bezel on. Productive and fun day.

Yeah, it was from Cruiserparts. Pretty straightforward rebuild…back on the road today and steering is nice and tight. Honestly, cleaning and painting it took longer than the rebuild..lolThis is on my list. Did you find a kit for the rebuild?
That reminds me of what happened when the Great Dane ate the Slinky...Yes you can. Just disconnect the upper ball joint with a pull or poop the spring with a screwdriver and lean it back
Good to hear. I ordered their kit a week ago. Steering box rebuild and rag joint replacement are the last two things to on my steering list.Yeah, it was from Cruiserparts.
