I finally added a 1991 FJ80 alternator to the troopy 27060-61090. This alternator gonna make enough voltage for the upcoming upgrade, installing EcoFlow. It makes 80 amp

Make a plug conversation so i don't miss with the stock plug.

I also added this beautiful old stock blue-collar starter. 1983/84 came with the same one. But this troopy had an aftermarket unit that I hated.

Dissembled, cleaned and lubed the speedometer and odometer. Runnin buttery smooth. Thanks @FJ40 MATT for the parts!

What have you done “FOR” your Landcruiser this week?

I recently installed a Dr. Infrared Heater DR-975 electric garage heater, which is now maintaining the garage at approximately 70°F. (26 degrees outside).

The installation required a dedicated 240-volt, 40-amp circuit, including routing new conductors through the wall into the basement and terminating them at the main electrical service panel.

After the electrician I contacted failed to show up or respond following two follow-up attempts, I proceeded with the installation myself.

I have always been cautious when working around 240-volt circuits and the main breaker panel; however, with proper planning and an understanding of working around energized components, the task proved to be easy.

It’s not efficient to work on 30,40,50 yo vehicles either. Lots of downtime waiting on parts and hard(expensive) to keep 100% of parts on hand. Very easy for plans to take a left turn. Has anyone tried to find a good 60 head lately….
Funny you should mention that. I was just thinking to myself TODAY what an advantage I have on my current project (Project Reset) as I haven’t had to pick up the phone/ wait once. It really is a luxury being able to walk into the warehouse and grab whatever I need to keep the project moving along.

Only the truck itself can be a gumption-buster.

I refuse to go to the hardware store any more.
Of course it will take longer for me to dig around and find whatever plumbing part or nut/bolt/screw but I will eventually!
Luxury!
Is your avatar pic from the Telluride adventure?

Busy last couple of weeks...Pulled trigger on KO2's as well as a hell of a FB deal on a NIB Warn VR-10 (#Factor55 ProLink, with broken circlip and zero customer service support)...just organizing some wires and awaiting on some battery terminal distro. post blocks. Mini wreath included.

It’s been East coast slushy the last few days. Temps are up this AM so I circulated the Dino fluid.

Splain dis. It looks interesting.

Looks like a pneumatic hood prop (strut). Albeit, not in the usual position(s). Unique application.

OP didn’t respond but, from the visual, that’s what it looks like.

Pic for reference:

Would love to have the warehouse support that you do. I have worked around the parts wait by having 1.75-2.0 vehicles to work on. When asked how long something takes the only appropriate response is “depends”.
