Something about the early corrugated tops just really does it for me
Great success. Thank the electrician for gaining the experience, confidence and know how to get that project done. I have electricians who do the same with me as I buy houses. No shows, no call back, I end up doing something myself. Congratulations !What have you done “FOR” your Landcruiser this week?
I recently installed a Dr. Infrared Heater DR-975 electric garage heater, which is now maintaining the garage at approximately 70°F. (26 degrees outside).
The installation required a dedicated 240-volt, 40-amp circuit, including routing new conductors through the wall into the basement and terminating them at the main electrical service panel.
After the electrician I contacted failed to show up or respond following two follow-up attempts, I proceeded with the installation myself.
I have always been cautious when working around 240-volt circuits and the main breaker panel; however, with proper planning and an understanding of working around energized components, the task proved to be easy.

Nice upgrade on the starter and alternator.View attachment 4046757
I finally added a 1991 FJ80 alternator to the troopy 27060-61090. This alternator gonna make enough voltage for the upcoming upgrade, installing EcoFlow. It makes 80 amp

I also added this beautiful old stock blue-collar starter. 1983/84 came with the same one. But this troopy had an aftermarket unit that I hated.
Wow! Looks great and a fantastic deal on the parts! CheersBusy last couple of weeks...Pulled trigger on KO2's as well as a hell of a FB deal on a NIB Warn VR-10 (#Factor55 ProLink, with broken circlip and zero customer service support)...just organizing some wires and awaiting on some battery terminal distro. post blocks. Mini wreath included.

Agreed! I'm here in Bogota with a South American rig. Fortunately many parts are found here and it's coming along.50 yrs of neglect takes awhile to get right.
Love this, you certainly did Baptize some new cruiser heads, I can see it on their faces, lol. Congratulations!with the help of my son and 2 nephews I finally got the hardtop from my donor on! Gimli has a winter coat now. I love the look both ways, but am enjoying seeing him looking almost complete.
Guys had to take a ride in the back to see what that was like. I think I baptized 3 new cruiser heads today.
Also got steering wheel, blinker collar, reconditioned heater box, map light and white bezel on. Productive and fun day.

i think by next week or so will add the ecoflow, this truck is no way to go unless someone sell it after a pass awayNice upgrade on the starter and alternator.
That green one is gorgeous!Shuffled some trucks around in 20* and 45mph wind. Installed FJCo rims on the ‘72. Then did a valve adjustment, timing and getting ready to do Sniper on the red ‘77.

Al- it’s set up pretty close to yours, saginaw box, it’ll have DUI and sniper, 2” TT lift. Very nice driver.Well, then,
The owner of that red truck is a smart man. I make a game out of it lately with the coldest weather we have and seeing how easily the FJ40 will start.
Thank you, the owner was very patient and ready to go when the right one was available. That green one is gorgeous!
