Everything I need to finish up the front end. The only key componets missing from this picture are Erik and his welder & Bob and his "mini" wisdom.

It's looking like the install will go down sometime in the evenings next week.

If a certain editor of a certain newletter would like to stop by and scoop the story feel free to come by...and anyone else for that matter. I have several house projects I can line out for everyone;)

Your garage is way to clean. I might be out that way Monday or Tuesday evening for a meeting. i will try and swing by.

Scott (on demand reporting)

There won't be any work getting done on Monday...so if it works out swing by on Tuesday.

Yea, your garage is waay to clean and organized. But, not to worry. Erik & I can fix that for ya! :D

Hoping to unload camper, drop trailer, load welder etc tonight for a possible attack tues evening! WHoo Hoo.. I guess I'd better Drop the pics out of the camera..
PM Me an address and time to arrive?

The reason the garage looks so clean is cuz' Caroline has deemed the 4Runner to be a dumpster and all the trash is stashed in side.

Looking forward to making some progress this week. It will be a mjor milestone for me to have it resting on it's front tires.

Erik and Bob - I'll PM you the address and arrival times.

Randy,
Do you mind if I stop by to look and help if time permits?
If you don't PM me the adress too - it's been a long time...

Sebastian

Feel free to stop by. Sounds like we will have a couple others stopping by as well. Not sure I will have anything for you to help out on. But you can help eat the Pizza and drink some of the cold beverages.

Erik: I might need to install bleachers for all the people that will be stopping by to witness your first rate welding skills ;)

Sounds like lots of fun. :D
Thanks for the invite.
What time tonight?

Randy,

Probably won't make it tonight, but I will be in your neighborhood tomorrow night. Are you going to be wrenching tomorrow night?

Well here are some pics of the finished product. I need to tie up a few loose ends like reconnecting powersteering hoses and brake lines as well as reconnecting the steering shaft.

Then it is on to the rear end. Looks like I have a line on a 5spd tranny and tc near Wichita that I will be picking up in a few weeks. Bob and Erik convinced me to increase my budget to accomodate a dual tc set-up and twin stick. SOmething about the goal being to have more shifters on the floor than Erik:grinpimp:

Pardon my ignorance if it was mentioned elseware Randy but what your plans for the rest of the build? tires, gears, lockers, hydro assist, etc..? I'm getting flash backs from my last buildup. You won't be disapointed when you're done, trust me. Keep the pictures coming. Nice job!

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Here are the plans:

Gears...5.29's
Lockers...Aussie Front & Rear (until funds allow for ARB in front)
Tires and Wheels...I have my rims and tires left over from my 00' 4Runner (16" Rockcrawlers with 285/75 R16 MTR's or 33's for those not metricically inclined)

5spd tranny swap with dual cases
Twin Stick
Rear Disk Conversion
Custom Front and Rear Bumpers
Sliders

Wheel it!

Over the winter I'll tackle all the body stuff

Progress pics? Are you up and running randy?

Nope...big changes at work have me traveling alot lately and I haven't had time.

Although the dual case adpator from Marlin showed up last week. I had to go with the 23-spline coupler and 23-spline turbo shaft for the rear case since the 21- spline kit is on back order indefinitly.

I hope to get back at it this week.
