What do you use to measure engine oil?

I have always bought engine oil in 5qt jugs and bought in bulk. Up to this point, I always eyeballed it and confirmed I was close enough with the dipstick. If I were to be completely honest, there were probably a couple times when I ended up overfilling and should have drained out a bit but didn't. Nothing bad came of it that I know of, but I would still like to be a little more cautious going forward.

Anyone have any recommendations?

After pouring in the 5qt jug I use a clear measuring cup to top it off from the second jug.

5 qt jug then 2 from next jug, then use the dipstick to top off. It's really straight forward....

Same here, I buy several 5qt M1 when they are on sale. Just pour the first jug in, then slowly pour and measure with dipstick. I overfilled too every once in a while, but overfill a little I think it is ok.
