Kitchen looks incomplete, what are your skills at finishing it out?

I think that the propane tank is too small. Never understood using less than a bbq tank unless weight is an extreme concern, at which point I ask "why are you towing a trailer?"

Might have a look at the Tiny Trailers forum for more input specific to tear-drops and similar.

Thanks.. I'll look up "Tiny Trailers forum" and look into teardrops.. I did not know this was or could be considered a teardrop design.. But that makes sense ;)

About finishing skills.. I've never had a trailer of any kind.. But I have modified my 80 series a lot! built a house.. and years ago built an ultralight aircraft that actually flew (Ripstop nylon on aluminum frame) but not sure if I'd be able to build the trailer from scratch, for one I still need to learn how to weld, but wood, electrical, mechanical, etc.. I'm not half bad at.. I honestly think I would enjoy finishing it up, as with anything that makes it to my hands, I can't leave well enough alone.. I am sure I'll modify it to no end till my :princess: calls shenanigans and cuts of the budget!

Thanks for the advice!

Is the current owner Marcus in Tustin, CA? Design looks remarkably like a mock up he was considering a long time ago and he's dropped out of sight.

Ok that's a start!

I have a good feeling about this one..

This is worth probably every bit he is asking, the 3K. you are going to need a few things done to it obviously to make it roadable in the sticks but it is a great start. These guys on this forum are the best at helping with all sorts of issues especially those that are jealous (me) of something like this. Have fun with her.

I remember this trailer..the guy pulled it witha silver FJC......Pragmizto or something..:hhmm:

I looks pretty nice, although I'd be a bit apprehensive about the effects of weather on the exterior.

Is it worth 3?..I think, but I also think you better go take a hard look before plopping down the cash.

Good luck..Pat

Thank you for the info!

Well guys.. Thank you for the info..
it is a great starting point for future modifications and what I am looking for which is a unique trailer for me and my wife to camp out in,.. We don't have kids so it's probably about just right in size.. and allow me to modify it in future.. Wife get's the walls to protect her from the big bad wolf while camping.. and I get another toy to tinker with :wrench: :D

Been working on it finally !!

So far tracking down leaks, and seals to make it more water proof..

Plans right now are:
1) Rip out and re-wire trailer lights and all existing cables. (DONE 2/16/13) :D Seems previous owner has a liking for splicing and dicing cables of different gauges and colors to make a circuit!
2) install LED lights inside, outside and int the kitchen area.
3) Install LED trailer lights.. (DONE 2/16/13) :D
4) Install Solar pannel (100W) + 10A Charge controller :grinpimp: (DONE 2/16/13) :D
5) Rebuild Kitchen with some nice shelves and drawers..
6) Finish trimmings.. Carpet missing in some areas.. Back kitchen shell is just wood no shelves, no carpet any ideas?
6) Swap out the hubs to Toyota 6 bolt and them change the tires and wheels to match my FZJ80.. (Need some advice on this... :hhmm: 35" on a trailer recommended on a 3000LB axle? Pro's cons? Obviously I want to do this to carry only one spare for both cruiser and trailer:idea: )
7) Water Tank? Advice? Should I install one?
8) Shocks? Are they worth it trailer weighs 1600LB dry.
9) Multi-Axis coupler (Ordered Max Coupler 2/22/13 :D )

Well Any ideas advice oppinions? let them fly this will be my first trailer project so I am hoping to learn from you guys!..

Get that ax under cover or Nox -Rust it.

Got it!

Get that ax under cover or Nox -Rust it.

Never really liked that Ax out there.. I carry a fiskas in the back of my cruiser, well sharpened and oiled :D.. so that rusty ol thing will probably just get donated to goodwill or graig's list.. :meh: Or I might just keep it as a backup for the Zombie appocalipse!
Can't really put the Fiskas out there without a lock so I have to find some other use for those bolts that are already drilled thru the body.
