Glass shop called me. They know land cruisers very well and I was referred to them by our local land cruiser group. He warned me about rust said he'd need 3-4 days to fix it all.

They called me at 2 pm and said no rust. Windshield is done.

Ha! Horses are so much more expensive than a turbo. At least in the long-term. Turbos don't need hot rock massages and expensive supplements.
So if I am using @efjayatee's logic, wives need hot rock massages and expensive supplements just like horses. Then Horses equate to TURBO. Therefore, you need a TURBO just like you need a wife?

Just random times. Like when going from reverse to drive or sometimes turns in parking lots. It seems a bit quieter now but when it clanks it clanks loud. Like people at the gas station look your way. Reminds me of the sound of a broken ring gear. lol
I have a Spartan in the back u get used to it. But then you eventually don’t think about no more and when it unloads it’s scares the crap out of you. I just yell locker! And now my kids do too lol.

My son and I did Front brakes today -
Question … what is preferred jack to have in your 80 ? I had a 12 ton bottle jack and didn’t realize it was way short - and my son’s floor jack was too short, not worried about home- can get a big floor jack but what about on the road for something with 33-35” tires. I need in my truck now. This would have been a disaster with a flat. My recovery boards have a jack platform in the middle if that helps at all, but do I just need a 36” bottle jack or what is best ? I do not want to be stranded if I have a flat off road- this was a major oversight in my part

Hoping to get shocks on this week and oil pan gasket within next couple weeks.

I use the stock Toyota bottle jack, I’m on 37s and it works fine on that truck.

LOL, I'm going to start doing that! Especially on trails so my spotter doesn't freak out.

Which brand mechanical locker did you go with? I’ve heard the grizzly is pretty quiet.
I have a Spartan I got from a buddy who upgraded to a Grizzly. I'll have to ask him what he thinks. :)
