@efjayatee thanks for highlighting the radius arm plates...I bent one side on axle over the summer was looking for a reinforcement option to go with my delta 3 arms. @Outsane just got one of your last 2 kits on order... 🛠️

I picked up some water softener salt at home Depot

I quickly realized my mistake. I forgot that land cruisers are supremely allergic to salt. Like peanut allergy at an elementary school allergic.

I ran into the gas station and when I came out it already looked like this.

If we're still doing this, I'm 5'10"/180lbs.

Everything fits me perfectly. I'm the default size.

I'm 5'11 and i tell people all the time I love it.

Tall enough to reach. Short enough to fit

I'm 6'5'' at 185lbs. Sitting in the drivers seat with more than "okay" comfort ist impossible for me in every second car, including modern ones. Current plan for my new 80 are leather recaros from an early Audi A6 with longer custom seat rails.

Every year for Halloween, me and a handful of Toyota friends go offroading/camping for the weekend. This year was our first time going to General Sam's Offroad Park which is near Houston, TX. Super muddy, given that it had rained a ton leading up to the trip. I believe we were the only Toyotas there, everyone else was in side-by-sides or heavily-modded mud rigs. I was definitely the most "factory" vehicle there.
It never fails to amaze me how capable the Land Cruiser is, even when mine is only on factory suspension and 33" tires. As long as I don't bottom out the diffs, I almost never get stuck. I actually got stuck less than my friend in her 6" lifted 4Runner on beadlocks haha, granted I try to be mindful of what I can and can't do. Waiting on everyone to send me additional videos and pictures.

Fun fact that I didn't know; if you have mud packed on really hard to your tire, it will draw out the oils from the rubber and turn them blue. Actually really stoked about that!
Also, got my work cut out for me on detailing the interior....having to trek through mud barefoot did a number.....oof

Took the day off work yesterday and ran the Peters Mill Run trail in the GW National Forest. Went with a buddy in his JK. Chose the coldest day so far of the year! But had the whole mountain to ourselves. Probably a week late on peak leaf peeping season.

Not the most difficult trail but found some good spots to exercise the springs.

On the way home, passed a black 80 w/ rear tire carrier going the other way on I-66.

Sure beats a day in the office!

Awesome photos! Always cracks me up seeing what can be done in a mostly stock rig when some people think you need 37's to drive down a gravel road to a trailhead :)

I looked at my list of parts I want for it.

Then spent another 6k on my daughters toy instead

Some day little landcruiser. Some day

Back to work finally. Finishing up this customers build. One of the best, I have truly enjoyed this build. Love switchpros

LX to LC Depo headlights. The passengers side aiming system was broken on my original so it'd point straight down. Also didn't have the rubber grommets so there's a ton of dust inside the housing. Bought a cheapo aftermarket ebay grill since I knew I'd have to dremel out the center to fit the lexus emblem. Grill took quite a bit of trimming to fit right but the end result is pretty good. Not a big fan of the clear glass but it's glass and I can see at night.

Looks great!

I have never seen these things help a stuck rig 🤷‍♂️
I've unstuck my rig a few different times with traction boards. It's always when I've been solo and there wasn't anywhere to anchor a winch. If I had a another rig with me, a snatch or quick winch off the other truck would have probably been easier.

Did a weeklong camping trip with my Dad near Four Corners. Had a blast freaking him out driving off road up Comb Wash, Arch Canyon and Valley of the Gods out in Utah, and we could see three different states from the slickrock rim we camped on. It was all-time.

I'm going to assume you freaked your dad out with speed rather than difficulty? Those are some beautiful roads you mentioned but not what I would scary by any stretch.
