The trucks done 576000kms, but how the f*** does a seal wear out axle steel? :meh:
Cheers
I have similar wear on both sides and is why I have gear oil & grease sludge leaky knuckles. I think replacing those are pricey. So I just add grease and gear oil often.

Ive already replaced the axle shaft , and now the inner axle seal is doing its job like it should. Im lucky we have terrain tamer parts in nz. I haven't looked in to it but im sure an axle shaft from Toyota is way dearer.
Cheers

2Nd post I mistakenly put in J 60 //
Hello It's Karl First Post! 2nd day with 94 . Floorboards wet so figure Sunroof.
I cut a 30 inch by 52 inch clear paint protection skin and applied to sunroof. I was just on the rear humps behnd sunroof and I was an inch from windshield. Will post results. I still see how water pools in Sunroof. I am thinking of shimming roof up .YES I Know It is a Super Genius Idea. Goto your Local paint protection get a pice applied. $100 tops. Kind of stuff you do when you need the fix and ain't got time for more damage. Nice to be here!

Bearing was squealing on the back and diff oil pissed out when I slackened off the flanges. Inspected the bearings and they seemed good, probably just needed new seals and repacked with grease, but installed new bearings and races anyway

Am I the only one who just swaps in new parts as policy when rebuilding?

I got out for a nice long trip exploring today. 140 miles of driving, 90 was dirt.
