I had to make the small modification to the front door armrests because these are still made for the 70 series. It’s very easy to do. This video covers the mod in detail.

any idea if these would fit the rear doors? if so id do all 4

I tested that. Unfortunately the cup holders interfere with the front seats reclining. They would be perfect for the back doors if it wasn’t for that.

did you try fit it if you put the opposite side(lf had on rt hand) on the door so that way the cup holder is closer to you?

thinking about that configuration tho it may defeat the purpose of the arm rest it would be worth a test fit

Yes I tried that. It would not affect reclining but anything in the cupholder would affect use of the armrest. It would be very close to your shoulder/armpit.

Has anyone found a cup holder option like the onestone arm rests but without the arm rest? I didn't look at the installation video so not sure if it would be strong enough if it was just a cup holder. The option to have it installed anywhere along the length of the window would allow flexibility for placement in the rear seats. You wouldn't have the arm rest but you'd have cup holders :)

I stared at how beautiful an 80 is when viewed abstractly, as a concept, as a design solution to a functional, global problem….

Literally perfection. The engineers of the 80 (specifically Takeo Kondo) knew what they were doing. Truly. This design team (1,000+ engineers strong, mostly at Araco) really knocked it out of the park.

What an incredible artifact of a bygone automotive era.

There will never be a vehicle like this ever again by any manufacturer.

We are alone now; we have to create this perfection with what we have available at hand to keep them alive.

That’s it; nothing else. Our own will. That’s what makes the Land Cruiser what it is.

That’s deep man!

Nah man. No deep.

I’m just zoning out cleaning the floors in prep for operational restart tomorrow. They can sleep; I have to make sure their world is good for work.

Cleanliness is key to a good operation and happy workers; if their world is clean and logical, then my job is easier.

I don’t know who they is, but that’s a great looking shop.

Sat my fresh full coffee cup on the console and immediately knocked it into the back floorboard. So I pressure washed all four mats. Then the USPS had a special delivery for me.

Been a while since I had time to work on it. The condensor developed a leak in the spring that eventually got worse. So, out with the old and in with the new along with a new dryer. Nice and chilly A/C now. Note the heavy duty/lightweight hood prop rod.
