Helped another Yota get unstuck.

Will do!

I too hope to use these tan ones (from an older Lexus?)I bought years ago in the useless coin spots in the console as you mentioned, just need to figure out the wiring.View attachment 2888553View attachment 2888554If anyone is familiar and can offer some help with the wiring converting the 6 wires to the 4 wire SM harness, it would be greatly appreciated!

I am trying to avoid project creep, but have already added completing the Dyna Mat under the drivers section I had done the cargo area 12-14 years ago with the drawer set up) but now have started thinking about wiring in a 2M or GMRS radio in the console with the older CB, “while I am in there!”
You hit the nail on the head. This is exactly what I'm looking to do. Right down to the vertical, brown heater switches. How well does the brown match the Oak interior? There's plenty of black in my interior, so it wouldn't be the end of the world to use black if needed.

Good luck!

Installed Dobinson's 5 degree plates on my 80. These don't move the rear arm mounting point/bolt and only drop the front bolt down. They put the tie rod very close to the arms while resting, and the tie rod bumps/rubs on the arms a good bit even after a small initial clearance grinding. No noticeable front shaft growl/vibration on my 80 though I know that's hit or miss from one to another. My 80 was around 1" of lift and just over 0 degree caster. I plan to go to new springs soon and my goal is to be close to 4 degrees of caster when there so as long as the lift matches the target it will end up where I want it. I'll be grinding a bit more clearance on the top/outside of the arms to at least eliminate contact under normal circumstances.

New arms (Delta) would be better but I didn't want to commit to that $$ at this point. Truck drives so much better on the highway and while steering is noticeably heavier at lower speeds it's not an issue for me.

Pics show the grinding/cutting needed for these plates. I kept the grinding to a minimum in case I want to go with something like new arms, etc. in the future.

In the first pick, is that a crack/weld failure at the panhard bar? Shadow?

@Azca

Just a trick of the light plus the "automatic rust proofing" adds to the contrast. I did have some cracks around the steering box and last year thoroughly cleaned and inspected all over the front of the chassis/etc. before repairing those.

They should be a very good match for the center console. I also like the horizontal oriented black switches fitted near the cig lighter, but I have my aux tank switch in one of those spots.

Very nice! A $5 harbor freight tarp works well and also good for the trail kit and in the dirt repairs!

Last time I actually had some old EZUP awning sides I never used or planned to that I covered the garage floor with prior to. That one took a month to source all the parts from Toyota and another 45 days to finally wrap up.

Your anti-rattle springs are installed upside down.

Happy Sunday Mud :flipoff2:Upgraded my burner storage solution.

This is upgraded from beta and is Rev 1.2. I needed to stiffen the mounting point.

Also remove the 1/4-20 bolts and wingnuts, upgrading to stainless rivnuts and winged Allen's.

I plan to continue to add a few dohickies and flobinknobbers to the flux capacitor

Got a nice little road test in, there is almost no road wiggle due to lift any more after sorting the rear end out!
Feels nice to have a fully setup powersteering loop as well!

Pretty excited that things are working well now!

Rumor of a beach or Uwharrie trip next weekend

Had to test out the mud terrains, make sure they worked :hillbilly:

Thank you for the keen eye!

I changed to OEM pads from the DBA, too much brake dust, I need to see if I have them correctly installed this time around.

This classic from Cruise Moab 2016 popped up this past week, no one should ever doubt the Cruiser Muscle!

Took the daily 80 for a rare East TN snow run up to the former Air Force Radar tower on the East Side of Windrock.

Some pretty interesting history from the Cold War era!

Nice work. May wanna head to the beach. Trails at Uwharrie are closed for winter.

Took the 80 to go pick up some yard art for the 200
