Kids came home with a surprise…. Time to paint the real one to match.

To keep it tech, I actually replaced booster, master and completed other brake work last weekend..

That bond is created by either an ultrasonic weld or a heat weld. Both create heat to fuse the two together. There are a some hand held tools that can do the same but your best bet is to use a chemical adhesive
good opportunity to switch to LS sun visors

I've got some reallllly crusty hard to remove adhesive sticking around from when my trim was removed. I think it might be beyond heating but maybe not. You use any other chemicals to remove it?
Magic eraser did the trick for me. Maybe try some goo gone for the thick stuffs

Pulled the diffs to have 5.29s swapped in.

Got my hands on a Pilot Performance VAF to MAF converter board. Still need a few more parts before I can start experimenting with a swap on my 94' system.

Was pretty sure that the jammed up diff breather busted the rear pinion seal. Unfortunately it was still leaking after extending the breather so I had to go in there and put a new seal in. Lots of iffy info and writeups on doing this on the 80 series but all together wasn't a terribly difficult job. I didn't do this 100% by the book since that would call for pulling the diff apart. Counted turns on the nut and then put it back on with the same turns and torque to 90ft lbs, which put the notch in the same spot as removal. We’ll see how it holds up.

I took some pictures along the way and might do a writeup but there are a couple good video references there.

Looks like the beginning of Imogene in Telluride.
