Queen Anne neighborhood?
I have the same vintage Tacoma. They are super simple and easy to work on, except for the oil filter is in a bad spot, and the skidplate is a pain to remove every time you need to get at something. Oh, and the headlights don't have bulbs, you have to change the whole headlamp (glass and all) if one goes bad. I'm not making a very good case. . .Drove it to pick up a new-to-me Tacoma (2.7 4cyl, SR5 PreRunner)! This will now be my daily (since it gets 20mpg), and the Cruiser will be my weekend/adventure/people hauler.

It needs a little TLC, but no frame rust and mechanically it's in really great shape. Looking forward to learning a new truck!
what color is that?Brought mine to the mall parking lot so it can get a view after failing at a car wash that left all kinds of spots on it...Fail! Love the cruiser tho

I bought my first ever 80... the 80 is replacing my 95 4runner. (she was great and will be missed. oh well, she went to life with an old neighbor of mine.)
I just pulled the Mother-in-law steps and finder flares off, looks way better.
I have so many questions about this thing, trying to wear out the search feature before posting anything.

Although if you wheel it they will be a mess. I agree on the look, but not the function.Should have kept the flares, the 80s look much better with stock flares IMO.
If you run proper BS and use bump stops, I don't think it will be a mess. My friend runs 39s on a 6" lift and wheeled it hard and never had a problem with the flares.Although if you wheel it they will be a mess. I agree on the look, but not the function.
In the tight PNW tree'd trails doesn't matter what lift or tire you run. The narrow trails will take them right off for you.If you run proper BS and use bump stops, I don't think it will be a mess. My friend runs 39s on a 6" lift and wheeled it hard and never had a problem with the flares.
well that's a different story. Thanks for the clarificationIn the tight PNW tree'd trails doesn't matter what lift or tire you run. The narrow trails will take them right off for you.

I agree on the looks as well, but damn I'm having trouble keeping them attached. Even missing one in my avatar!Although if you wheel it they will be a mess. I agree on the look, but not the function.
