Ok I see this topic is making the rounds on the forum last couple days so fairly good timing. I just picked up a BRAND NEW double cardon front driveshaft for my 80. when I bought it it had a slee DC DS and the H block cracked, then I got another from another vendor and it failed, the spring inside the ball died.View attachment 1832817 View attachment 1832818 View attachment 1832819 View attachment 1832820 View attachment 1832821 . So I figured there had to be a way to get one new, not from a junk yard repainted etc. NEW so I hit up Beno and he hooked it up with a new OEM taco rear driveshaft pd the driveshaft shop a hnny and here it is. finally and its sized for my lift. Is it weird that I get slightly aroused from new parts from japan??

Yes... but only because they're Japanese shafts!

The Fourpeaks Cleanup numbers were shared at the meeting; ~240 volunteers signed up for the day, 24,020 pounds of trash went out in the dumpsters, slightly more than last year. This was the ninth year for this event, the total is 157,920 lbs of mostly trigger trash taken out of this area! As always, great job of organizing this event by Copperstate 4 Wheelers!

We are tasked with taking local and regional land managers on a tour of this area in a couple of weeks. Between the two cleanups, anything out there will be fresh :poop:.

Finished up the welding. Hopefully everything fits since I don't have the 80 onsite. Will mount it tomorrow and see.

Those bar codes on the bent corners. Did you source these somehow and build sans pipe bender? Looks great
I only have 1/2 inch and 3/4 EMT Bender. The one-inch was 80 bucks, the pre-bent 90s were 6 bucks a piece. We had a ton of scrap 1 inch EMT at work. 1 inch EMT works with Yakima accessories and I have a lot of them. I've already made mounts that work with Yakima bars. So these will work with the eight months I already have. EMT is Galvanized so the interior of the pipe shouldn't rust very easily. And before anyone asks, I welded in extremely ventilated shop. I plan on priming and painting it black when the time comes

No defense needed! Most folks here have probably huffed a galvanized fume or two (no offense MUD). I like it! Have some flex for sure, but I wouldn't think twice before loading it up.

THanks man! it's pretty stiff right now. 4 of the cross bars will be attached to the mounts, will probably add a few more support runs from the sunroof mount forward.

There' no need for name calling or hateful accusations. Everyone commends you on the clean up but for God sake quit with the finger pointing. We get it

Not sure what you are getting spun up about? Name calling, trigger trash is the common name for litter left behind after shooting. The term may have been coined by Tread Lightly, if not they have run with it, lots of signs, has been on TV, billboards, etc. It's a huge problem here.
