Please educate me. What is the tuna can?
The dirt removal can mounted on the bottom of the intake filter housing. It has two snap clips to remove it from the bottom to be emptied. It is about the size of a tuna can.

Pictured here (painted by the kids to look like a can of tuna :D).

hey bud how's that Bowfin rack treating you? seriously considering one right now.

I am very happy with my Bowfin Cruisers rack and highly recommend it.!

It is one of the few aftermarket products I've added to the truck that works and fits flawlessly right out of the box, the first time, with no further adjustments needed. I have hauled lumber, mounted an RTT, nestled a solar panel between the rails, and it just sits up there and works the way it is supposed to. There is plenty of adjustability in spacing the rails for your own custom needs, and nearly an unlimited assortment of tie-downs/anchor points are available to fit the 80/20 extruded rails.

My rack has been on for about 20K miles, and about a year, and still looks new.

Can you tell I love it :D?...

Get a dorkel, especially the OEM dorkel and it will be hard pressed to get the tuna can anywhere near that full.

Got one :hillbilly:
I owned the truck 2 years before I ever looked at it, LOTS of trail and dirt road travel - I have my doubts the PO knew it existed. Maybe multiple POs...

Last minute camping trip opportunity came up, so packed up last night and headed out after work today!

Drained and refilled xfer case with Lucas synthetic and new hex plugs from Wits End.

Diff soup oozing out of the fill hole in the front axle. Very fine (normal) shavings on the magnet plug. Refilled with cheap dino gear oil and will change again while servicing the knuckles in a few weeks.

Rear diff oil changed. Old looked great. Wits End hex plugs torqued up right.

Edit: Sunday. Added grease to all 6 zircs

Same thing today for me. Opened the fill plug to check the level in preparation for a long road trip, and got moly soup flowing out. Blah.

After 248K I'm still running stock breathers. Tomorrow front axle breather will be extended.

One of the best $100 upgrades I’ve made. The inside feels so much quieter now.

Looks great. Got more pictures of the platform, etc.??
