The pup and I went for a few days drive around the El Dorado Hills, CA. I heard a scary sound coming from my water pump about 300 miles in, but it went away... for now...

Also, need to address the hump in my brake pedal, just had the rotors turned and I don't think it took well..

Not the weekend but last night. @flintknapper says that I’ve officially broken her in. Still not sure...

I really like the fender badge, what year is that from?

And this is for @LS1FJ40 , after giving me sh*t for my mitsubishi lift trucks. Scored a sweet Toyota lift for cheap yesterday. She needs lots of cosmetics and tires but runs awesome. I promise it will be the best kept lift in the shop!

The mitsi lifts are super tough machines, I have to admit. Regardless, I have wanted a Toyota lift for a long time, for obvious reasons.

Next you’re going to start complimenting Heeps...

Full disclosure: I stared at an ad yesterday for an original paint, low mile '86 CJ-7 Renegade for more than a couple of seconds.

Finally picked up an M416 project! Been patiently looking for a deal on one of these for some time.

Build date 12/65. USMC markings. And, the parking brake works!
And the best paint job on Mud just keeps getting better! You gonna put that trailer on 37’s too?

I’m in Vacaville. Let’s go wheeling some time. Still waiting on the snow to dump.

Finished a full brake job tonight. Parking brake bell cranks were rusted solid, evaporust helped but it took a map gas torch and a punch to get them separated. All new pads rotors and calipers on all 4 corners now. Bad about taking pictures

I know it's Wednesday, but technically I'm still on vacation. So it's kinda my weekend. I finally dove into the front axles service I've been putting off. The previous owner obviously wasn't a fan of regular maintenance.

By the way, borrowed a friends Abbey Tools bearing press (bike tool) for the races in the knuckle ball. Easiest time I've ever had installing races!

Oh that is smart I never even thought about using a headset press for trunion bearings, but looks like a perfect fit. I will have to try my Park headset press next time.

Originally, I wanted matching wheels/tires, but I like the parking brake setup on this axle, so I may stick with the 16's, and fit a larger tire. I'll be lifting the trailer right away, so we will see what fits.
