Finally got a minute to finish one side of the truck in the make it white project. My vinyl wrapping skills are not so perfect yet but it looks at least as good as the original paint, and in my fav color. New sliders on one side and roof rack sort of on. A ways to go but encouraging.

Looking good. FWIW, I think your truck looked better grey! Too many white 80's out there. Your grey color was unique and looked sharp. But of course, make it how you want it. props!

I have always liked white 80's. Lots of colors I like, but white is #1 for me. For 400 bucks and a chance to learn something new, I decided to go for it. Now I look back 3 times instead of once walking away. Might need a chiropractor!
White 80's do have a very #1 feel to them! I have never seen this before, is the vinyl thick enough to hold up against scratches and door dings? Does it come off easy without damaging the under paint? Must be very tedious to get it all under the different trim pieces. It looks good!

There will come a day when I will probably respray the truck with real paint. When that happens, it will likely be the original "Desert Dune" color. If I don't like it then, I will sell it and find an original white 97 CE.

Since I am very much an amateur, it looks a bit less than perfect, but my paint was too so it's a wash. I chose 3M material because it is supposed to peel off clean long term. I think it might be a bit easy to scratch, but it will be easy to re-wrap a damaged area. One of the several downsides is the fact the door jambs look funny not being wrapped. It could be done but I likely wont. I am amazed at how well the vinyl goes around difficult shapes. It stretches easily, can be heated to bring back to its original shape, and when complete it can be heated to a higher temp to make it lose its "memory" so it stays in the shape it is conforming to. Lots of good youtube videos out there.

From a few weekends ago. A local spot about 10min from my house, went up there to check out the forest fires from a distance. The cruiser is hiding up on the ridge.

Felt super happy about adjusting the valves on the ol' 92 on Sunday. I slipped getting off the platform and landed a little wrong. Didn't think anything of it. Monday it felt a little worse. Tuesday night it sucked. Wednesday morning I was in the ER. Herniated disc and dislocated my right hip. WTF?!??

The doctor asked me if I had trip insurance after I told him I had to be good by Saturday when my daughter and I start our two week backpacking across Europe trip. I told him to FAWK OFF AND STICK A NEEDLE IN IT! :p

Fortunately, some morphine and muscle relaxers along with an amazing physical therapist that got my disc and hip manipulated back in place and I am feeling "less sh!tty". MRI tomorrow. More PT tomorrow and Friday. Then fly out Saturday with a carry on full of pills!

Will figure out if I need surgery later.

Would've been cheaper (and way less painful!) to pay someone to adjust the valves... :bang:

Demand they check the coccyx for dislocation or fracture.
It happens more often than you think along with your injuries.

The PT mentioned they will be checking that in the MRI tomorrow. She didn't think there was anything wrong with it. It's normal for them to check that rectally, right?!??

It never shows up on MRI.
You'll just waste your time that way and they will inflate the hospital bill a lot more. Keep it simple.

Oh also Installed new slee 2.5 12in ressie shocks and Moab 4by4 outpost made me a new rear driveline as mine was slightly bent.

Where are you? If you're in Moab you should have a blast. Drop your tire pressure to soften the ride up and give yourself some sidewall flex. There is a lot to do out there just be careful of the clay mud in a heavy rain, not even a triple locked 80 is a match for that slick crap. Lol
