We took a little trip in the new Cruiser. Turned out to be 3400 miles. The HDJ-81, with its stock 1HD-T, ran flawlessly. Mileage ranged from 19.5 to 21.5 mpg.
Here you see Lone Pine, CA and Benton Hot Springs just past Bishop, CA

Fixing the PS seat gear was not suppose to be so greasy. I knew I shouldn't have put on a pair of new shorts today.

Oh well, The rest of them will probably fall off between now and next week then.

So, later I checked the torque, good. It handled a little funny, so I checked the tire pressure.

80psi.

Good thing I have extra valve stems. Hope I didn't kill anyone.

Went to Long Island to meet some friends and surf. Friend's house mate had a 62, so I ended up chatting with him about trucks a lot. Had a good time on the water

Install in same fashion as the plastic sheet and it is cheaper than new OEM plastic I'm sure... If its even still available.

It is. Actually not too expensive either for the front doors. For some reason the rears were about twice as expensive when I checked, despite being simpler in design.

Did some exploring in KY over the weekend. Had to get creative when it came to installing the RTT. Can't keep it up there at the moment since it's currently my daily driver and it won't fit in the parking garage at work. Got good and stuck once. Got a little trail damage (anyone selling some taillights). Found a super quiet back road to sleep on. Was good couple of days.

Found a great overlook to hike to...new GF felt the need to do some crossfit move up there....I didn't mind at all. Trail went through creepy old barn....stopped for pics at night. Climbed a pretty steep staircase at dusk.

Finally got to take the cruiser camping, it was a blast! We only did one night because we weren't sure how the little ones would do. They did great and the teenager bailed, go figure lol. We found some black Raspberry and mulberry growing wild and my daughter loved them :). It was only a 20ish mile drive but I'm pretty happy with how the weatherproof storage bag and Prinsu rack worked out, I figured it would be pretty noisy, but I didn't notice it there at all. I think we're ready for the Colorado trip next weekend!

Where are you guys heading out in Co? Several of us from KC will be in the southwestern area.

New tires...

Unfortunately, I think half of the balancing weights flew off as I was getting up to speed on the freeway. Sorry to those of you who were behind me at the time.

One should only use tape weights if you off road;)
