sunroof drain! You work at Lowes; get some weed eater string!

Nope. Already did that. It isn't the drain. I taped off the moonroof seal. Just tested it. No leak!

I've seen that recommended.

I trying to decide if my cheap ass will pay $1.70 sqft.

It works. I looked for cheaper stuff but nothing else was worthwhile...

Overhauled the rear axle. New bearings, seals, gaskets, etc. Then replaced all seven of my old brake lines with extended stainless lines. Flushed the system with fresh synthetic DOT4, bleed the system and all is good with the world.

Then I installed a set of 35's on my neighbors Vette. Then I rebuilt the carb on my dirt bike.

How much richer are you?

Every used vehicle I buy is an adventure. My record is something like $37

Now to decide on some cost effective thermal barrier and another thin layer of jute.

Hardware stores carry a mylar-coated bubble wrap now that works very well along with a layer of jute

Still chasing down an overheating issue when towing. Swapped the clutch oil a week or so ago. Did much better, but still getting hotter than I like. Pulled the fan clutch tonight and tweaked the adjustment. Will take it out for a drive tomorrow afternoon.

Make sure those fan belts are in good shape and tight. Some people aren't used to how tight a v-belt needs to be to avoid slipping. Gates makes a belt-tension gauge that takes the guesswork out of it.. and not expensive.

How much did you order? I'm not doing the cargo area.

Discovered there is more than one golf course in town to put in the river at...... unfortunately didn't realize i chose the wrong one to correspond to the 4-5hr paddle back to town. Doh.

At least the fishing and wildlife display were at stellar levels.

Thank goodness for @rockdragster new place on the river and for @jamesurq for not drowning me for my mistake. Now i still havent seen his wife though....... sorry dude but that was still a great time.

Haven't done much on the Cruiser lately. Just picked up a new "pup" from a rescue association. She was half dead walking around a bad area of Tijuana with one puppy a month ago. No front teeth and pretty skiddish. We've had her 3 weeks now and ready to on some road trips and adventures!

She's in the front seat :)

Took her to the mountains this weekend, showing off her new colors..

I just ordered 60 sqft of the thermozite and 36 sqft of jute. This should be more than enough.

I wish I had ordered this stuff last week. Oh well, I still have to clean the inside, clean the evaporator, replace expansion valve, replace AC compressor and drier, and maybe do the rear axles. I've got plenty to keep busy.

Who needs a roof rack when you can fit two boats inside! lol
i do think i saw that nervous over the shoulder look from the moms n kids as they quickened the pace when you pulled into the park though ;)

If you want to go very inexpensive, go for Reflectix. Available at most hardware stores and has made a huge difference in our diesel 60. Before it and the carpet insulation it was very hot and loud. It used to put out a tremendous amount of heat over the transmission hump, but now is cool as a cucumber. Also, it is easily removable, but stays put under the carpet.

Should be good.

I doubled up with the Reflectix on the firewall and tranny hump. Reflectix gets its insulating value from the air bubbles between the reflective exterior. They are like bubble wrap and can pop, you'd lose any R value. So I just used it where there wouldn't be traffic.

I had positive results with that stuff also. Thick Dynamat type stuff, shiny bubble wrap (lol), jute, and then freshly pressure washed carpet FTW!

Also, a trick I came up with for the extra Refectix was using it as a replacement for the tired old vapor barriers behind the door panels. Install in same fashion as the plastic sheet and it is cheaper than new OEM plastic I'm sure... If its even still available.
