Last minute trip up to Humbolt Mountain with some friends to watch the Lunar Eclipses and was denied by the clouds but adult beverages took the edge off for a Friday night.
Thanks. I checked the connections a few times last night, making sure they are all in the right way. Got some tape around the housing too, thinking there may be some kind of vacuum leak.
I'm thinking the sensor should work just fine, as I did not do anything to it. Just took the housing out, tried the mod which did not work, and put the original one in again.
Ok then, maybe just coincidental with another issue. Happy hunting
It seems to run better with the MAF sensor unplugged.
OME Springs and shocks. Shocks could use to be replaced or upgraded with possible something with remote reservoirs only because with my weight (6950#) they tend to heat up and bag out after some rough miles but overall very happy.
My 80 is purpose built and does not get DD. It see 7500 - 10000 miles a year with an estimated off road air downed miles of 2500 - 3000 yearly.
I think it fixed itself. Maybe the ECU relearned the parameters. Drove it around for about 3 miles. Not it sits stable at idle, although a little low at around 600 RPM.

If it's any consolation my integrated-reservoir Fox 2.0s faded noticeably with my much lighter rig.. though ground speeds in that situation were pretty high.

Five tire rotation & dynamic balance with Road Force machine, trying to fix the static balance that America's Tire did when they installed these in October. I don't think any of them passed the Road Force specs.
Watching KOH live feed in the background.
Spot where the sticky weights were.

Now, I have less of the vibration in the steering wheel, but still some overall vibration. I'm pretty sure one of these tires has an out-of-round condition. Gonna have to keep chasing it.
Also did some needed maintenance: Oil change, fuel filter, and exhaust hanger.
The weld broke on this hanger that was installed when I had the Coffin put on.
The shop fixed it, and added another angle piece, but he pointed out that the front hanger near the cat was broken.
I got the new one on there, but something has moved with the overall exhaust system, so I did a bit of tweaking the bracket to make the holes line up better.
New bolts & nuts too, but I'm still not real happy with how it turned out.
When I rebuilt the starter solenoid awhile back, the drain tubes were pretty messed up, so I ordered new ones. Finally put those on yesterday.

Gained a good inch of lift, just by removing the running boards! Probably good for 2 mpg as well
Following the Icon installation I purchased new brake line extensions from Akela. I buggered up a hardline and was getting leak (and I wanted two other lines too), so I called Beno. In his Rainman fashion he rattled off part numbers and informed me that my '93 would need another part number for a later year due to the part I wanted being discontinued. Local dealers could not give me a delivery date and prices were ridiculously high. Other online suppliers had crazy, automated shipping costs. Beno delivered, with an arrival date that I could afford. My wife helped me bleed the brakes and LSPV, and then I went out and buzzed the ABS and bled again. Feels much better now!
Cleaned up the wheels a bit and rewired the stereo to a standard issue ih8mud Blue Sea fuse block. Its starting to look like a decent truck. My confidence in it is increasing little by little.
Still need to decide on a bumper, Paint the valance, and lots of interior cleanup.
