Tepui ladder meets Prinsu rack. The hinged plywood platform in the background will be used with a swag tent.

Does the ladder fold up and store on the roof rack?

I thought about that but decided to just use quick disconnect pins and store the ladder inside. This will keep the real estate on the rack free'd up.

Is that a telescopic ladder? Pretty cool!

Yes sir! Tepui makes a very nice ladder with a slick bracket at the top that makes installation so easy.

Which one did you get? There are so many to choose from on Amazon I didnt want to get the wrong one.

This is the one to buy. I ordered 4 different ones. The rest seemed very cheaply made. Plus some are only 1.1 or 2.1. This one will charge my Surface and iPhone 6+ at the same time, if needed.

Great to see this catching on. I'm looking forward to showing off my REI RTT solution this weekend.

The ladder won't store up there due to mounting the tab on the side. The tab would have to protrude above the platform to fold on top. I found a TSA luggage lock fit on my pins used to hold the ladder on should a curious camper be tempted to borrow my ladder.

34 bucks!

34 bucks! No way I got it for 12!

Yeah, I bought $12 ones as well. They were cheap. And single outlet. I wanted a dual outlet that could handle charging my Surface and a cell phone. And I didn't want it to look aftermarketish.

$34 vs $12 in the grand scheme of things isn't worth it to me. To each their own though. Hope it works out.

Did this one fit in the dash as-is, or were modifications required? If it snaps into place like Toyota made it, well worth the $34 IMO.

Yes! Seeing your post got me motivated to getting this done. I'll be using a one-man swag by outback swags. Should work out nicely. Photos to follow.

Got my winch sorted last weekend, Smittybilt XRC8 (with ARB winch spacers) - weekend prior I got my bilstein shocks and ironman springs on. Drives great!

2nd and 3rd row seats are all out at the moment in preps of sleeping in the rear on a 2 night trip soon up in the BC wilderness

Just had the folks at ACC replace the ac system, new transmission gasket and fill, new water pump, wheel bearing repack, and new brakes.
In the coming weeks also installing a new rear pinion gasket and oil pump cover gasket.

Should be completely leak free afterwards.
This is a part of my maintenance plan prior to taking a three month road trip next summer to visit several national parks.

Yeah all I need to charge is my cell so mine is plenty and it's also dual slot.
Like you said to each their own.
Here is a day pic and also my new radio antenna.

It didn't "require" shaving the opening but I gave it a light filing. It was pretty snug. Others installed it in the coin slots but had to cut a bit out in order to do so. Here are some pics. I wired mine hot all of the time so it not having a background light was a big deal to me. Plus the parasitic draw on a high quality Blue Sea plug is most likely going to be quite a bit less than a lesser plug. I'm not against using something else (I've used chinese switches for my doors), I just know Blue Sea makes really good stuff and when I had the 3-4 outlets side by side it was a no brainer for me.

Here is the thread where I got the idea. Has pics and stuff.

Finally a fast charge USB to fit an 80 series cut out

I'm sure you didn't get the Blue Sea one for $12
It's funny how most are real good about buying proper Toyota parts for their truck, but cheap out on other stuff (not calling you cheap per se, just saying folks in general).
$34 is totally worth it in my book. Blue Sea makes quality stuff.
