I'm sure you didn't get the Blue Sea one for $12
It's funny how most are real good about buying proper Toyota parts for their truck, but cheap out on other stuff (not calling you cheap per se, just saying folks in general).
$34 is totally worth it in my book. Blue Sea makes quality stuff.

It does what I need , charges my phone, period!
If if goes bad, I can buy 3 before 1 blue sea or whatever brand you are talking about about. Besides, I barely barely charge my phone in my car, my battery last a whole day, I did it to fill switch spaces and to keep my cigarette lighter where it belongs. Again to each it's own.

I did the Blue Sea usb plug on mine too. I had to trim a tiny bit from the bottom of the opening but it was realky easy. I love having power to it without the key on. Plus the high amp output is great.

I started the Colorado trip packing, hope to be pretty much packed up this weekend. I put the rear shelf back in, as well as install my Wits End lock box.

Having intermittent speedometer issues. I'll be driving along and speedo won't be showing any speed. Then it will pop up to the correct speed. It has done it 5 times now. Always when starting out. It never drops down to 0.

Any suggestions? I'm adding this to the list for this weekend.

A place to start, '94 Speedometer Stopped Working

$25 to have the undercarriage and engine degreased. Now I can see what I'm working on and where I'm leaking! And it won't be nearly as messy doing my knuckle rebuild. Money well spent.

@LS1FJ40, Did you take it somewhere to degrease the undercarriage or was the 25 just in degreasing materials that you put on yourself? If someone else did the work seems well worth it to me.

+2 on this question?

Took it to Budget Rental Car's detailing service. Handed them the key, went and ate breakfast and bull$hitted with a buddy, came back two hours later and it was done.

I'm no expert, but the seal just might have failed.

I feel your pain, These were mine last week. Both sides where the same...

That's great but whacha gonna do for rust prevention?:hillbilly:

I'm dumping about a quart per 2-3 days right now I think I'll be fine. I'm just going to fix the big leaks. Cut it down to a quart per 2-3 weeks...

For reference: This is what the knuckle area looked like prior to cleaning. Took this pic earlier this week.

@Qball I'm more worried about my knuckle bolt thingies shearing off or coming loose now that the grease and dirt isn't there to hold them in place.

Nice - I like it. Hopefully your bolts don't fall out on you before the knuckle rebuild:hillbilly:. At the rate you are leaking oil though you'll be back as square 1 in a week and not have to worry about the bolts and have to get it cleaned again.

I have hot water running to my garage to hook up to my power washer so I should be able to get fresh oil off of it if I need to. I was thinking about doing my knuckles this weekend but it's about 95 degrees with 95% humidity. I think I'll pass on it this weekend. Maybe I'll get a hair and decide to do it but I doubt it. I have plenty of other stuff to do as well.

How much lift do you have on the red machine? Also your bumpstop spacing please?

OME 850/860 combo about 2.5" of lift.

Front bumps are daystar stingers set 2" off the pad, with 2" of travel. Rears are 3" daystar pyramids set 2" off the axle, they compress a full inch
