I need one for left of the steering wheel! Thanks for the reminder!View attachment 1694319 Replaced my center vents with the open/closed ones sourced from a 60. Theyre really easy to get in and out, btw.
Finished my rite of passage. Terrain Tamer knuckles @orangefj45, new discs, wheel studs, calipers and even made my own hardline from caliper to new stainless steel lines from @cruiseroutfit, Advics pads too from them too. Downsized from 35” to 30” on stock steel rims. Love them!
Called on a local club member I met at the trail meet a month or so ago to help me bleed the brakes. He was a great help, there’s def no way I could have done that alone w/ the mityvac. He was way thorough which was a blessing cuz now I really understand the process, mostly.
Then drove it to the river and put it in 4lo. No squeals, no leaks, smooth at 65. Spotted the first two Lady Slippers (a local NE orchid) of the season.
And yes I’ll get the grill back on but I want to chop down the upper arch of the tube bumper first and add caps.

I like that mod...wondering what you had to do to remove the old ones and get the new ones in?View attachment 1694319 Replaced my center vents with the open/closed ones sourced from a 60. Theyre really easy to get in and out, btw.

If you've got time to refresh your exhaust manifolds you might want to try this:Where to begin. Well, I have not been posting much on the forum - just been soaking up all the information from the numerous threads. Now its time to start sharing my project.
This weekend I finally was able to get the exhaust manifold off my 62. This is in pursuit of replacing my exhaust manifold gasket. Lots of fun getting all the different vacuum hoses labeled, taking off the plenum, fuel rail, fuel injectors, EGR, intake manifold and nasty rusty upper exhaust.
Still a work in progress, but feeling great.

During the removal of the fuel injector either I broke the brittle old plastic pintel or it was...
