Started out Saturday evening from Mammoth Cave, KY, headed for Seattle. 2,652 miles through KY, TN, MO, AR, OK (lost the front license plate somewhere outside Cherokee) and on into KS, CO, NE, and WY, where I lost power steering when the belt split outside of Cheyenne. Ran the last 1,300 miles without it across WY, and through ID, OR, and WA.

BMW seats on Torfab brackets and Apple touch screen nav & radio system made all the difference in the world.

Weekend is my work time most often so here goes...
Sheared a screw on the back of the knuckle. Had a friend help drill it out cuz I think I was being too tentative. Once he got it out mostly I chiseled the most I could out and tapped it. I’d eyeballed a tap at the hardware store which ended up being right.
New threads made almost fully ID enough that a short screw fit (like on the front of the free wheel).
Got most of it assembled and swapped my mixed up caliper.
Truck on two stands, no rubber. Holy huge stress!
My not quite 5 year old was thrilled to add the lug nuts. Teach em while their young!

Started on caster shim install. Have to wait for longer u-bolts and new shocks to finish. Benefits of leaky axle = every bolt came off super easy.

I built a Land Cruiser specific lifting pad for my 60/74. I got tired of screwing around with offset pumpkin and blocks of wood. It works perfectly and now I just stick my jack straight up the middle and pick up the whole axle level.

Not exactly. I posted all the info in another thread. I had to swap the 60-series arm onto the 70-series visor. After that, 100% bolt-on.

Only when she is being fed or off chasing sheep. The dog that is!

Removed the carb cooling fan for a cleanup and paint, checked operation with remote 12v source, reassembled, cut slot in upper fastening due to stinkin' bolt being underneath hood hinge mount. Checked emissions 'computer' at left driver kickpanel for cracked solder, none found and all good now.

5 speed shifter is in its home. Got the crossmember fabricated and mocked up. 4BT, NV4500 and transfer case are resting on the frame. Getting closer to starting the motor and then starting on SOA.

Friday after work, took the princess and the lad out to Cruise Moab. It was great to see so many Cruisers and meet fellow enthusiasts!
Saturday morning tore into the cooling system as that slow drip from the radiator has been bothering me for way too long. It was a long day scraping gaskets and removing rust. Did the fan shroud mod and shot a few coats of paint on the steel pipes and shroud. The hardest part so far was accessing the radiator bolts behind the AC condenser. This job would suck if I hadn't contacted Onur (@beno). Starting out with all the right factory hoses and clamps was a smart move and he knew all the pieces necessary. Okay enough jabber, I got to get this back together today.

Other than backing the 60 out of the garage so I could get to the lawn mower...today I installed a new charcoal canister and soft fuel lines to protect the earth from fuel vapors blowing out of the fuel cap every 300 miles. A little larger than stock canister and some fuel line rearranging, but not a bad job.
