What did you do to your pig today? (4 Viewers)

I don't like bleeding brakes. I need to get one of those Motive power bleeders.
My wife and boy don't like helping me with that either!
That's when you figure out who your real friends are.

My pig has been running great recently, but stopping has been a bit of an adventure. So, decided to do a quick brake bleed. About 6 hours and new 60 MC later, she stops on a dime!

Gotta love those "quick" projects!
What size bore is the 60 series MC?

Yall need to get you a mtn dew bottle and about a foot of old vacuum line and let your helper watch Jerry springer.
Nobody likes bleeding brakes until they find out how mechanics do it.
(Not with a helper)

So, pulled a load for the first time today with the pig. About 2750 pounds of pavers. Pulled fine, but the sway was pretty bad above 45 mph. Any ideas of what to do? I was hoping to use the pig to pull heavier loads, but maybe that’s not going to work.

I assume that trailer has at least one electrical axle brake. Are you set up for that in the pig? Also, don’t let those safety chains drag; twist each one separately to take up slack before you hook them.

I was taught 200-500 lbs tongue weight and load centre just ahead of trailer axles for best towing, but on a lifted truck both a drop hitch and equalizer bars would be a huge help.

Last thing you want is too much weight on rear of trailer, it will pass you and ruin your day.

A very simple video to understand where the load should and shouldn’t go…

I lost my original headliner 30 years or so ago when I rolled the Pig. Couple days ago I put some Dynamat up there. Did a poor job, had lots of wrinkles and stuff. Those big sticky sheets are hard to work with. Today I covered up the wrinkles with more insulation. Amazon Basic, smaller sheets, cheaper and a pretty blue color.
