What could be causing this...

...I'll try to post a picture tomorrow when there is light, but for now, here's what I got.

I have an 89 Tercel and there is a small hose that goes onto the top of the valve cover(some sort of breather?) and there is oil leaking past it and onto the valve cover.

Could it maybe be a pcv that's getting clogged? It's never done this before.

This car is carbureted, btw.

Put a hose on it with a hose clamp and run it down below the motor.

It would be a good idea to check the PCV system for proper operation to start with.... then a compression / leak-down test to determine engine health status.....
