Picked up a 95 5VZ xtra cab 4wd T100 a couple months ago, it needs a brake booster. Turns out they are NLA and Seikens are not an option. Cardone has one which seems to be decent albeit they come unfinished so paint would be necessary. I did get a used OEM that’s was supposed to be good, it’s worse than the aftermarket on there, so it’s going back.

What are the options for a booster? Leaning towards the Cardone as it has a good track record and a 2 year warranty.

Considering that 80 series booster fits in 60 series as a bolt-in, and the T100 booster fits in a 60 series as a bolt-in, with the transitive property the 80 series booster should fit the T100? Those are available new OEM. I think it's bigger then the T100 too.

Closing the loop… the 80 did not fit. Close but I was not going to force the studs into the firewall. Went with the Cardone, it works as it should.

what was wrong with it? was the overall diameter too big?

The studs did not align going into the firewall. They were close and measuring the bad booster and 80 booster seemed like it would fit but they did not want to go in. I probably could have forced it but I didn’t want to do that. The Cardone went right in.
