Hey everyone,
I have posted questions before about my 1979 4x4 plow truck with 37,000 miles on the clock. As the title states, how do I know when the carb needs to be rebuilt? The truck is a non-catalyst truck. The exhaust smells a bit bad, but not horrible. The other issue that I notice is that when you are going down a hill with the truck in gear, and not stepping on the gas, it seems to backfire a bit. Could the carb issues have happened from the truck sitting for so many years, as it only has 37,000 miles on it? If I need to, where is the best place to have the carb rebuilt? Does Jim C touch truck carbs, or is he only involved with Cruisers?
Thanks,
Zack
