Ok... so the floor of the 80 is kinda wet.... more so on the passenger front side, but a little damp as well on the driver's side... Any ideas? YES, I searched.... YES, the PHH has been done!

AC drain line is disconnected?

My PS floor was wet after driving through a killer rain storm with the windows cracked last weekend. Checked the drain line, couldn't see a problem. I'm assuming the snorkel directed some water in over there. Dry now.

check your sunroof drain too.

Sounds like the A/C is broken. My buddy had the same thing happen and it was the A/C

A/C is BROKEN? No... A/C works fine.... somebody wanna point me in the direction of this drain hose?

And YES, this occured during heavy rain, and YES, I have a snorkle.

That's my guess. I have never had water come in with windows cracked during a heavy rain, and I got none on the driver's side. Passenger side pretty damp though, and if you look you'll see how the snorkel could cause water to leak in. Probably just another of my crackpot theories though. :)

I think it's above the passenger's feet.

Yup. Probably. TJK, has your windshield ever been replaced? If so, that's probably it for you. Have the squaw hold a garden hose over it and stick your fat head down there to see. :princess:

If it is the windshield, pull the kick panel on the ds to make sure nothing is getting fawked over there electronic wise.

Squaw.... Good god man, my wife will kick your ass if she ever sees you! :)

Absolute monsoon here yesterday, took the 80 out on the interstate to knock some of the mud off, no water in with the windows closed. I swear, I think that snorkel directed it in. And I checked the seal, it "looks" fine.

Think. There's that word though....

Snorkle? nothing to do with it.

Check your A/C tube first. Look down where your passengers feet would be, probably pull the matt out. The black part you can see (at least on my 97) is the A/C portion of the system. There is a black tube that goes down the back side through the floor board. It actually exits behind the heat shield on the firewall. You may have to remove the heat shield to clean it out if it is clogged, that would cause it to leak inside.
Your sunroof would do that if the lines were also clogged on that. Do a search in the forum here and you will find many discussions on that.

Glad you jumped in here since clearly you know everything but how to read entire posts/threads. Not just the snorkel, oh wise one -- snorkel with the window open in the rain.

Still, you're right, could be the AC line.

i swear my 80 is a leaky sub. First started at the driver's floorboard (found out PO had installed speakers and ripped the plastic behind the door panel to pieces), then passenger floor board, then driver-side rear floor board was damp, then the back glass started leaking around the seal, then where the jack is stowed started leaking like crazy from the sliding glass... fawk!! I think i'll just get like 10 bottles of cauk and cauk every seam on the cruiser.

is this what I have to look foreward to?

my PS floor was wet, tested the sunroof drains when I got it and again when the sunroof came out fianlly traced it to the door plastic fixed that and now putting a hose on the truck produces no drips but the floor still gets wet sometimes, Guess I need to look into the AC drain next,

for now those damp rid trays keep it from getting musty in the cruiser

Fer christ sakes, stop talking about leaks. My rear cargo area PS is now very damp. Will check it out tommorow. Rained darn near 6" the last few days. NEVER had a leak before.
Not so Cheers,
Sean

Crap... we're jinxing everybody..

Well... I fixed my problem... it was indeed my A/C drain line... AND I fixed my sunroof line as well!

Woo hoo!

Thanks guys!
