About half way down the page there is a drawing of a 79 series
two lines above it says this (In addition, LandCruiser 78 Series has a lockable glove box and cup holders for Single Cab models.) does any one know were these factory cup holders would live in the cab???

Also at the bottom of the page it says at the top of the left hand pic body model code and hzj78 pick up i thought all post october 99 5 stud cruiser utes/cab chassis/ pickups were 79 series not 78??

The cup holders are on the centre consul or the "utility storage box " as they call it ,so it only applies to RV models with 2 bucket seats.

You can see part of the cup holder next to the handbrake lever in this pic of a 78 series RV.

You'd be surprised, we don't get a lot of optional equipment here, no bullbars, no aux tank, no lockers, no winch...you have to get aftermarket stuff for most if not all accesories.

The cup holder works pretty good, mine has never come loose on it's own, and it tilts/swivels to keep the drink from spilling. I also have the ram mount for my GPS.

Thanks for the compliments :) .

Those 4 shortys are wild 2 really decked out ,the last one has the alternator up next to the air box must be for water crossings or so
to get an idea how much these are worth in Aus dollar say using XE - Universal Currency Converter
sorry for not knowing but what does Bs.F. stand for? say that last green fzj71 is Bs.F. 180.000,00 (Neg)

looking through this tucarro website heaps of the cruisers have the cool windscreen cup holders
also noticed the 07 80 series still have the distributor were as the 70 series have the late coil packs

Well, one US$ equals between 6,5 and 7 BsF. ,so that particular 71 is about 28.000$ US.

BsF. is our currency, formerly called "Bolivar" , now it was renamed by our autocratic president to "Bolivar Fuerte (BsF)" which means literally "strong bolivar" , which is quite ironic because it has never been weaker/more davaluated, but I digress.

The alternator next to the air box is a second alternator, running dual alternators is very popular here for people who do extreme off-roading because the 1FZ-FE alternator is known to fail every now and then (it doesn't like mud, haha), nothing serious and it's usually fixed by taking it appart and cleaning it, but it's annoying.

Clint 79.

Cup holders you want? Open your glove box. On the lid/door. There are two big circles and one little one. The little one is for the stubbie lid. The two big ones are for the drinks. True. When I bought my first car they told me that was what they are for. maybe I looked so soft they thought my driving would let those little creases be cup holders.

My grandad was told they were so his wife would have somewhere to set her glass while she sat in the car and he drank in the pub. She could have lemonade only though

HAHAHA thats sounds mint
i have seen those little indents but not much to hold the cold cans of bundy while 4wding i might start ebaying for some like Jac83

My Strap-On

Hello,

This is my strap-on bottle holder. Not fancy but it does the job.

It came with a 1-liter water bottle. Fits nicely in the parking brake lever.

The bottle has a screw-on cap, which prevents spills when offroad. The black lace holds the bottle in place if needed.

It is handy for soda bottles, too. I have not tried it with cups, though.

My two cents.
