I have a well at my house and i was wondering if it would be ok to flush with this water instead of distilled water? I read on here somewhere that the only reason distilled water was necessary was because of additives in the water, would well water fix this problem or make it worse?

Well water will have more minerals in it than city water. I flushed twice wth city water, once with distiller and then drain and refill wih red/distilled water.

Well water = city water in many cases. Municipal treatment doesn't typically remove much in the way of dissolved ions, anyway.

I would say that well water would be fine for flushing as long as it is relatively free of dissolved solids that could get stuck in the cooling system.

I would definitely use distilled for the coolant water, though.

For a flush, you can use any water. It takes a while for the minerals and stuff in non-distilled water to affect the engine. Flush it with whatever you have and then use distilled water when you're done.

thanks again guys. Should get that done tomorrow.
