I'm looking to buy a welder to do some stuff to the cruiser. we had a Lincoln electric wire welder, but was pretty much junk to begin with and now is kaput.
So, I'm looking for recommendations... I'm looking for something that's reasonably priced, I don't need super ultra shop quality or whatever, just something that will get the job done =)

what is "reasonably priced"??

Hobart handler 210

Picked up an arc or stick welder off of craigslist for $50 bucks does a great job for little jobs here and there. I think it is an on lincwelder. Does a great job building a trailer right now with it.

Figured for the price it was disposable after a few jobs.

I use a Hobart Handler 140. It runs on 110V. I've done everything with it except the cage and suspension parts. I used a buddys 220 Miller for those. I picked it up already set up for gas, with a tank and cart for $250 at a farm sale.

Ive paid for it a few times just doing odd (mirror brackets on a Unimog etc.) repairs for other people with it.

Its a great unit, just dont run cheap (Harbor Freight) welding wire through it. That probably goes for any welder. I had a lot of binding problems with the cheap wire.
