My turbo diesel has started a light weep and will have to replace at some stage. The motor has done just under 300k. It runs sweet. Just wondering what else could or would need attending to while the head was off.

When I did my head gasket swap (not on my Land Cruiser, on my Land Rover with an overhead valve v8) I took the head to a machine shop had them disassembled and completely washed and polished, I took the intake manifold and throttlebody for them to polish as well. Also, mailed the injectors to a company that reconditions them.
I'm not sure what kind of motor you're running and if it is overhead cam, maybe a time to consider a new upgraded cam

Head gasket. Rocker cover gasket and inlet manifold gasket done.
