Right. I have 8 red pre-ban 20 liter cans and 4 spouts. Wanted to get 8 diesel 20 liter and a few 5 or 2.5 liter cans in both diesel and gasoline.

The water cans are still available;) the site says the food safe liner will be destroyed by hydrocarbons. But, in an emergency, will the can be safe?

If you are a CA carb advocate do not even respond to this post as I will ignore you.

The water cans are identical. I have two water and two gas cans. I've had them for several years and they are great.

The water cans do have a "tan" food grade sealant inside and I suspect that if you put fuel in them it will degrade over time. It certainly would contaminate the can to the point you wouldn't want to use if for potable water.

The neck, cap, gasket and fuel spout are all the same, just different colors...

Good luck.

Whoops, should have posted in this thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/camping-outdoor-gear/200120-scepter-fuel-cans-carb-states.html in camping.

Questions are still valid, are the blue ones identical except for color?

No, liner is different. If you put fuel in these cans it will a)render them useless for water. and B) possibly introduce contaminants to the fuel, especially if stored for any period of time.

They ARE NOT identical: water has one handle, fuel 3, for id in the dark. Water has 2 ext spouts, fuel none.

wait, all do realize that wedco/ german steel cans are different from both Biltz steel/ us and Sceptre plastic/ CAN, yes? handle typeing refers to the latter.
