I call that "competition" 
there are actually a handful of other FJ Cruiser forums out there, as well as number of other Land Cruiser general forums...

No kidding. Most of it reads like something to the extent of "Hi, everyone. I've been into the import scene for a while, and I think these FJs rok!"
It's only a matter of time before these sites over flow with useful tech.
sad thing is, the "only" tech out there at this point is "what options to I order"...
it'll be a few weeks before the "real" tech takes off and folks start to wheel them and start performing maintenance and upgrades based on what actually improved the rig, versus what just looks kewl (or what they "think" they need)
in some ways, having a forum out there prior to the release of the rig generates a lot of interest...but also generates primarily chat and wishful thinking....
(kinda like this post....lol)
