Summary: What the heck do I need???

I believe this is a Weber 32/36 installed in my 1982 pickup. Recently picked it up, goal for now has been to get it running good and cleaned up.

There was a…creative throttle cable setup done. The end was looped around, tied off with a zip tie, and looped around one of the forks of the silver bracket that was bent up. That loop keeps sliding off of the fork, and it doesn’t really hold proper tension in the cable.

I keep looking at videos and threads but am not finding exactly what I need to use here - should I source some of the original carb brackets and linkages or what is the best way to get this hooked up based on how it is now? Any help at all is appreciated!

Pictures for reference, including a screenshot from LC Engineering that shows the linkage bracket that looks to be there.

Saw your post a few days ago, but didn't have the time to share some information of value. Below is a diagram of all the additional hardware you'll need, that's what I have in my RN135 1993 4Runner, I have not decided yet to convert to Weber or attempt a rebuild of the carb.

Additionally, you can refer to these pictures I took from this section of my engine bay, I hope they help:

Your best bet is finding this parts at a yunk yard or out of a more recent model. Some of them are attached into the intake manifold.
