I've got a 2005 cruiser and water is pouring in under the glove compartment when it's raining. Is it a stuck valve ? I took it to our local garage and they told me that its a major electrical issue. Is that sound correct? Thanks, Kyle

I had this happen this weekend to. I suspected it was water coming down the A pillar from where my snorkel was just installed. Let me know if you source the problem. What did they say the electrical problem was?

This problem started on my '00 last month too.
Off and on - but mostly when the AC is on.

Above/behind the glove compartment is the outside intake plenum for the climate system that feeds the fan behind the glove box. I would start by making sure the flapper and the plenum itself are not clogged. Pull the fan and inspect - takes about 3 seconds.

Windshield seal or sunroof seal draining down the a-pillar?

Had this problem last year. IIRC it was an AC line that required flushing/cleaning. I got mine cleaned and now the problem is gone!

Mine was soaked while not running. LJ, was your LC running when this happened? I got in after a medium rain, truck had not been on for hours, and the complete floor mat was soaked. Lots of water!

Mine was on when it was leaking from under the compartment. It lasts for about 5 minutes after the truck was off! Sometimes a lot of water based on how cold you set the AC

Anyone know where the sunroof drain runs. I dont have a FSM. Is it inside the A pillar?

thanks

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah, the water only comes in when its raining very heavy or blowing rain. And it doesn't matter if the cruiser is turned ON or OFF .

Thanks, big help. I will check it out tonight. How would so much water be getting up under the glove box without anything anything above it noticeably wet?

I had this issue with my '99 a few years back. My sunroof drains were clogged. Had the dealer clean them out and have not had an issue since. Good luck!
