I have organized a "helping hand" car wash/bake sale at the Camelback Toyota Body shop located at Highland and 7th street on the S.E. corner across from Brophy Prep school to help a brother out. It is this Saturday from 9am to 2pm.

One of my technicians crashed on his motorcycle and ground his ankle and right elbow down to the bone. :frown: He is mending remarkably well to the point of not needing skin grafts. He has been out of work for a while and is now challenged financially between the hospital bills (his non-insurance portion is still overwhelming) and regular day to day expenses. He will be out for at least 8 more weeks due to complications with his ankle. I've worked with Rich for 10 years and he is a good guy/father/friend to many.

If you happen to be in the area and have a sweet tooth and/or a dirty vehicle, please drop by and check it out. No fixed prices, taking donations only for the sweets and the wash to help him meet some of his financial obligations. Maybe even a band! :)

What is wrong with that? Just toss some Koi in and call it a pond!:hillbilly:

I'ts funny you say that - when I went out to quote the Green Pool Conversion, the first thing I said was it would be less expensive for the homeowner if I just brought over some Koi and a rock garden and called it a day, as this property has been sitting with tepid, septic water for several years, and it would be mucho $ to get back to right...considering he needs a new pump and filter system as well. I never thought I would get a call back based on my bid being High (obviously) but I guess the other two guys who came to bid said they wouldn't do it at all based on condition...

(sorry to hijack murf)

7th street and Highland (not 12th st)

 WOw - is that the same muck hole!?!? Amazing....

Yes, Saturday turned out decent - thanks. Rich was there the entire day and the band sounded good - collected enough to keep the lights on at his house for a while :)

John "inkpot" swung by and visited for a while. At first sight I cringed at the thought of fitting his "Monster Piggie" through the car :crybaby: wash then I saw it was his wife's Scion :bounce:
