Someone else started a thread about external graphics and stickers, but my recent concern is about the interior ones.

Specifically the ones on the flip down visors.

You know, the ones that warn the passenger of the presence of an airbag, remind you to buckle-up, and mention to the driver that you're driving a big damn truck with big damn tires which raises your COG (duh) and 'abrupt' maneuvers should be avoided - as if we didn't know these things.

Here in So. Cal., it regularly gets warm enough inside the vehicle to semi-melt the things and so the next time you pull the visor down, you get a lovely tearing sound as the bond is broken between the primary and secondary visors.

I'm wondering if anyone has found a reliable way to remove said appliques without damaging the vinyl/plastic underneath.

I was also thinking about removing the anti-theft warnings in the windows until A- I realized it could affect my insurance, and B- I saw the HUGE BLACK AND WHITE ones on a Chevy or some other American make vehicle, and I was suddenly very thankful for the small, comparatively unobtrusive, clear backed window stickers we have.

I carefully pulled mine off and wiped (scrubbed) the residue off with WD-40 and Goo Gone. It took about ten minutes, and I did it when it was warm 70-80 degrees. No warmer.

i used 3M adhesive remover. Took it off real quick. But i didnt figure that out till i distroyed my visors back when i was a young'n and really stupid.

To take the anti theft stickers off, a small razor blade will do the trick, just go in at a shallow angle and peel the stickers off. Any residue can be removed with the above cleaner, or any vehicle approved window cleaning solution.

find an ins co that doesn't inspect the vehicles and then scrape away. AAA has never even seen our cars..... scraped the warnings off the prius as soon as we got it home. will do the LX this weekend.

do you fly copters??? COOLEST THINGS EVER!!!!! what an awesome hobby/job. was in one once and it blew me away.
