1981 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40 *&*&*&*

I am guessing this is a scam given that I have found the same photos attached to adds in Ohio and Kentucky

1981 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40 **!!Like New
##### Great Buy **!!**1981 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40

I contacted the seller for more pics, and got them (via photobucket) - there was also a story about divorce and house payments so selling cheap which sounded quite plausible to me.

I responded asking about the different adds in other states and have not heard back.

I guess things that are too good to be true usually are

I smell a scam

I responded to the same ad yesterday...
In my response, I mentioned that the same vehicle was listed in several markets and asked where the vehicle was physically located. "Dr. Lucille Jeffries" just gave me the same divorce story and asked for my name and address - no mention of where the vehicle was located.

Bummer.... was such a good deal.....

1981 FJ40 Scam

Hello, This vehicle was mine. It has been sold and leaving first thing in the morning to its new owner in San Diego.

Believe me any place it is posted is a scam. I have seen it in Atlanta, Raleigh, Arizona, Orlando craigslist so far. Amazing, it has my text, pictures at my house, but an email listed I have never herd of. I have tried to contact cragslist but it is still showing up.

1981 FJ40

Today is a proud day for me. I have restored quite a few FJ40's as a hobby. I love the vehicles and hate to see any leave. Recently I was contacted by a fellow who just arrived back from serving in Afghanistan. He was very glad to be home safe and sound and always wanted an FJ40. Since several of his friends did not make it back he decided life was too short and he was going to act on his dream of having an FJ40. After looking at many he contacted me and decided mine was the best available. This was very flattering to me since there are a lot of great people who also love and restore them.

My FJ40 left today from Atlanta, GA headed to him in San Diego, CA. It is on a 10 Car Hauler driven by Brit. I think I am more excited for it to arrive to him than he is. Anyway, if you see a 1981 Beige FJ40 on a Transport Truck headed west know that it is going to a Serviceman who has helped to keep us all safe and free.

By the way this is the same 1981 FJ40 that keeps popping up in Craigslist scams this week. Please do not be fooled. The person listing it does not have it and is just trying to be a cheat. Sad some people stoop to this level.

Regards,

Chris Wade...
