We have a winch on a work truck (that is going away) that has a Warn XD9000 on it. the only thing anyone knows about it is "it doesn't work". It is connected corretcly etc. Anyone have any expierence with sending these back to Warn or ?

Rebuild it your self. I got a used XD9000I and did it myself. A good voltmeter and a little time you can sort it out. There are alot of good rebuild threads with good info on troubleshooting. It really is pretty simple to do it yourself. Warn has excellent customer service but you might want to check on how much it will cost to ship it to Warn. If you don't want to do it yourself check to see if you have a Warn dealer or repair center close by that could do the work for you so you wont have to pay shipping.
