Which winch?:grinpimp:

Hi All:

Both are good winches, but to pull-out a 60 Series I'd go for the M8274.

Well worth the extra $$ and weight!

Regards,

Alan

I have an 8274 built in 1991. It totally rocks. This is the best winch you can currently buy. There is no comparison to other winches. If you take it apart to rebuild it, what you find, is machined gears, brass bushings, and serious metal to carry the loads of winching. It's a winch meant to be used and used and used. Then rebuilt and used some more. In short, it's built like a Land Cruiser.

Unfortunately, the planetary winches fit most applications better, but when you have these apart, it is not as impressive.

If an 8274 fits in your application, it is the winch to use.

you need a big bumper to mount that on a 60

tried and true....but is it practical?

Hi All:

Sure! ARB sells a bull bar for the 60 Series TLC that is designed for the Warn M8274 specifically.

I'm sure an number of aftermarket fab shops could build a front bumper to handle this winch as well.

Regards,

Alan
