Warn 5687 sticky clutch?

Hello! Just finished refurbishing and mounting up my 5687 to my 74 Cruiser. Seems to work well but am struggling with adjustment. I can manually pull the lever to engage the clutch, however there is a fair amount of friction. When I try to push the in cab control there is just not enough force to overcome the friction.

I have new cables and housings and have nice big bends so it is not the cable. When I push on the lever manually you can feel the resistance.

Wondering if anyone had this problem and if there is a fix.
