I am looking for a monarch ee lathe, If you know where a good machine could be had east of the Miss. River i would probobly go take a look at it. I would prefer to buy one that is running so i could check it out.

We have on we use in our shop built 1965
still makes good parts.

While it's always great to know exactly what you want, having the patience to wait for the right one is always tough. Hang in there long enough and one will like it's way too you. Keep looking on practical machinist and craigslist - I try to avoid esuck as much as I can.
Also check out "Home Shop Machinst" and "Projects in Metal" put out by Village Press.
