lynchmob, do you have the sensor in the bellhousing? As you will need that too.

I do have a sensor in the current setup, thanks. It does not seem to be the case that the tach and sensor only work as a pair though.

The engine/trans I am using came out of an FJ62 3B conversion. They rigged the 62 tach to work off the sensor. It appeared to read correct RPM. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Considering that, what benifit am I going to have using the BJ60 Tach VS the FJ60 tach that I already have?

Does someone have a 3B tach sensor to sell? I could use one for my BJ75 though Im not sure it would work the same as the older BJ60/BJ70 setup. I dont know if the flywheel is set up for it. There is a flat spot on my bellhousing (aluminum) where the sensor should go, but no hole.

Got a couple tachs
the diesels usually have a yellow line before red line...and redline earlier (as I remember) than the gassers.
Anyway...let me know which you need..I do have one from a 3B diesel around somewhere?

I guess you may be able to get a diesel shop measure injection pulses to see if your tach is accurate.

Redline is 4100 for a 3b. Can't remember where the yellow starts.

Sooo still need tach?
